Funded PhD in Business and Human Rights

The Atlantic Technological University is seeking applications for a PhD scholarship for a project titled ‘The development and role of human rights and environmental due diligence in supply chain management’. Under the supervision of Dr. Leonard Taylor and Dr. Amaya Vega, the study will focus on the potential for Ireland to embrace the new legislative and political momentum towards business and human rights. Project awards will include:

  • A student stipend (usually tax-exempt) valued at €16,000 per annum;
  • Annual waivers of postgraduate registration fees;
  • Extensive research training programme;
  • Support for travel, consumables and dissemination expenses.

Applications are open to those with an interest in business and human rights, supply chain operations, and due diligence law in Europe, and having a legal or political science background.
